Over the years, I have come across a number of smart people, wise guys as it were, who have provided insights and ideas that have propelled my own safe options trading. Most of the people on my list I have never met except through the books or articles they’ve written. My list of smart people includes some noted trading psychologists, market practitioners, and risk modelers. These are people whose ideas and works have helped me understand, among other things, the importance of having a plan, having well-defined goals, and an understanding that markets move the way they want to, not they way you want them to.
