Options Trading Information Online

There is a veritable treasure trove of online options trading information available at your fingertips. Like anything on the web, some of it is very useful and of high-quality, others sites are dubious or even unscrupulous. I will share with you my favorite options trading information sites. These are high-quality, unbiased and are not forcefully trying to sell you something.
Yahoo Finance
is an excellent all-around site for personal finance. Among the things to note are stock and ETF prices and charts, options tables and general education articles. I use it often. Yahoo Finance has a special subsite devoted to options. There you will find an extensive set of articles and tools. Check it out.
The Options Industry Council
, or OIC, provides another very useful reference site. In addition to a wealth of information, one of the neat features at this site is a full suite of free online options classes. They also offer “virtual trading”, where you can paper trade as you hone your skills.
Finally, there is
OptionsTradingpedia
, which bills itself as “your free online options trading encyclopedia”. There is a lot of good content at this site but is a little more commercialized that the first two I recommend.
Again, please use caution on the web. There are a lot of hype-filled sites out there that are clearly interested in selling you something you probably don’t need anyway.
There are numerous sites on the stock market in general. Here are some that I like, are educational in nature, and worth your time:
independent-stock-investing.com
online-stock-trading-guide.com
stocks-simplified.com
