Mark Douglas

Mark Douglas is a trading coach, author and private trader. He was educated at Michigan State University majoring in Interpersonal Communications and Political Science and is a member of the National Authors Guild. Mark is the author of two brilliant trading books, Trading in the Zone and The Disciplined Trader.

As he notes in the Preface to Trading in the Zone: “The goal of any trader is to turn profits on a regular basis, yet so few people ever really make consistent money as traders.” So why do so many folks, many of whom are highly skilled in other arenas in life, fail at trading? This is the fundamental question that Douglas addresses in his books.

In his books he covers ideas such as taking responsibility, how trading consistency is a state of the mind, working with your beliefs, and the role of self-discipline. In other words, he believes that understanding one’s personal psychology is critical to trading success. He also emphasizes the fact the every moment in the market is unique. He considers that the process of becoming a profitable trader is in fact a personal transformation in the way of thinking and interacting with the market.

Mark’s goal for traders is to be able to approach the markets totally objectively. His works will help you trade without stress and fear.
